It was time for a change. A year ago I began to consider how to work with photographs I’d taken on the farm that stood their ground as images. I found a way to transfer the photographs to old linens from the family farm. Thread provided the spark of color, emphasis of line and shape. I think of these as photographs, with mixed media additions. They are about orchard, the family that tended the trees and land and the fabrics that survived years of family celebrations and gatherings.
